What does it look like?
The differentiation component in BASE offers 3 levels of support for each lesson. This allows the student to learn at his or her own pace and allows the teacher to scaffold the student’s learning according to their needs. BASE also allows the teacher to repeat parts of each lesson if necessary in order to achieve skill mastery.
The differentiation sheet is designed to offer the teachers different levels of support that allows the students to access different learning styles, retention abilities, and expression abilities. The teacher has full discretion on the use of this differentiation sheet. The teacher may draw ideas from it on days 2, 3, and/or 4 of TOP instruction.
