The Tapestry of Trauma, Transforming the Tangles of Childhood Sexual Abuse into God's Masterpiece.
Hi, there. My name is Donna Scott. Let me share a little bit about myself and what I hope to share with you at the Unite in Light DV Conference:
I encourage women to
Break Free from the Past's Grip on Your Life to Experience Peace in Your Present.
You see, in the darkness, the pain thrives. We are here to turn on the light of healing, skills tools, to free you from the darkness. Let's unite in Light with us! Let's let the light shine, shine shine!
You see, as a Licenced Therapist, I empower and equip women with hurting hearts to heal from relationship wounds.
As I speak to you tomorrow night, I will help you to do the following:
1) Identify and understand your triggers
2) Discover ways to express your pain safely
3) Choose one skill designed to help you manage your pain
To help you remember everything, I have a little metaphor that I use: ACE Bandage!
"A" - Acknowledge Your Pain;
"C" - Cleanse Your Pain;
"E"- Experience Healing for Your Pain.
Tapestry of Trauma
I understand pain. I understand what it feels like to have darkness take over and try to snuff out every light possible. I wrote a book called, The Tapestry of Trauma.
For so many of us, excruciating memories from the past spark nightmares, flashbacks, and even panic attacks. Memories pop up, but we push them away and struggle through the day. Trusting others—even our partner—feels impossible. We’ve tried reaching for God, but we still feel empty as everyone around us grows and builds successful lives.
Are you ready for a life beyond survival?
In The Tapestry of Trauma, I share my testimony of childhood sexual abuse and the healing I found when I learned, I was chosen as a daughter of God. I allowed God to perform his masterwork, and he transformed the painful tangles of my past into a beautiful masterpiece tapestry.
Women, it’s time for you to break free from the devastating memories of abuse and begin to build meaningful, valuable relationships with God and others. The Tapestry of Trauma will help you break down walls and allow God’s unconditional love and hope to penetrate your broken heart.
You will learn how to identify emotional pain triggers and cultivate key skills and practical applications to live in the beauty of God’s healing.
Join us tomorrow night, October 13, 2022, at 6:30 pm MDT to find your healing!
