Life is Busy
Life is busy and stressful and sometimes overwhelming, but it is also filled with beauty and joy, and love. We all know this, and most of us can navigate difficult times by holding onto beauty and hope. But sometimes the hardships start outnumbering the good times, and it’s hard to keep a positive attitude and perspective.
The difficulties may be major (a divorce, the loss of a job or loved one, a move), but they don’t have to be. Sometimes it’s the little things that we “should” be able to handle that keep piling on until we’re no longer able to cope. This may manifest in physical maladies (daily headaches or stomach aches, insomnia, panic attacks). Or the overwhelming might be more subtle, more hidden--feelings of loneliness, failure, hopelessness, even despair. Our tendency may be to push these feelings aside and try to muscle through. But if left unchecked this can lead to depression and even thoughts of suicide.
Suicide
Such was the case with Aimee Fuhrman, author of Smudged Pages: Letting Go of the Lies and Letting God Write Your Story. “From the outside my life was idyllic,” Aimee says. “Nothing in my life spelled suicide, but that is exactly where I found myself several years ago. I had bought into the lies of the Enemy, and they were impacting my identity. I had this standard of perfection I was trying to live up to, but I couldn’t do it, so I was caught in a cycle of false failure and guilt.”
Aimee has since found healing, and her heart is to help other women shed the lies they are believing and find their true identity in Christ Jesus. She does this through her book and her ministry Smudged Pages, which also includes a workbook (The Smudged Pages Companion: A Guide to Letting Go of the Lies), an online course that can be taken with or without coaching, as well as speaking engagements and women’s retreats.
25 Lies
Aimee’s book Smudged Pages exposes 25 lies women commonly believe in 5 different categories:
Acceptance
Performance
Failure
Expectations
View of God
Written from a place of raw honesty and vulnerability, Aimee pulls back the curtain, sharing her own struggles, in short, easy-to-read vignettes.
Impact of readers
One reader said,
“Aimee’s honesty is a breath of fresh air! By peeling back the layers of her life, she helps us see that we don’t have to have it all together…”
(Tiffany T., Florida)
Another reader said,
“Smudged Pages: Letting Go of the Lies and Letting God Write Your Story spoke to my heart. It was like Aimee was inside my head and understood the lies I struggle with. Her stories of overcoming and the truth she shares from God’s Word give hope.”
(Amber J., Georgia)
Need more?
While the Smudged Pages book exposes the lies of the Enemy and replaces them with Truth from God’s Word, the companion workbook and online course help women:
Identity which lies they personally have bought into
Root these lies out of their hearts and minds
Learn how to take control of their thoughts and renew their minds
Practice skills that lead to daily victory
And Aimee offers gentle and encouraging group or individual coaching to keep women motivated, accountable, and progressing in their healing.
One participant said of the course and coaching,
“This [book and course] hit the very core of me...reading and applying it was...life-changing. I can honestly say it scared and excited me at the same time. I was scared in the sense that I had to deal with things that I didn’t really want to. I liked them better tucked away. However, I was excited in who Father was making me into.”
(Rose S., Colorado).
For the month of November and December, Aimee’s Smudged Pages lineup is 25% off on her website!

Smudged Pages companion workbook:
If you or someone you love is feeling the strain of overwhelm, hurt, or depression, Aimee seeks to remind you that although we all have smudges on our pages, “There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1a, NKJV).
Our enemy Satan wants us to believe lies about ourselves, others, and even God; he wants us to doubt God’s goodness and love. But Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (Jn. 10:10, NKJV). God wants to set you free!
Make this the year you shed the lies of the Enemy and discover your true God-given identity, so you can live each day in victory, experiencing the peace and joy, hope, and rest God intends for you!
